My name is Yaël Ossowski. I'm a journalist, writer, consumer advocate, radio host, podcaster, and sometimes digital entrepreneur based in Vienna, Austria, and Charlotte, North Carolina.
At present, I'm Deputy Director at the Consumer Choice Center, a contributor to Metropole Magazine, and a columnist at the European Conservative Magazine. I host the internationally syndicated Consumer Choice Radio on The Big Talker 106.7 FM out of Wilmington, N.C and Sauga 960AM in the Greater Toronto Area, every Saturday at 10 AM EST.
Previously, I was an investigative reporter at Watchdog.org, serving as Florida Bureau Chief and chief Spanish translator. From 2013-2020, I worked as a grassroots organizer and fundraiser for Students For Liberty, primarily in Europe and the United States, but also on 3 other continents.
I have written and been syndicated in hundreds of publications globally, including the Boston Herald, Chicago Tribune, Miami Herald, Austin American-Statesman, Washington Examiner, Huffington Post, The Charlotte Observer, Arizona Capitol Times, The Philadelphia Inquirer, Detroit News, Reason Magazine, American Spectator, The Gaston Gazette, FoxNews.com, and much more. Since 2011, I've been a member of the Society of Professional Journalists and I studied Political Science and History at Concordia University in Montréal and the University of Vienna. I received a Master’s Degree in Philosophy, Politics, Economics at the CEVRO Institute in Prague, Czech Republic.
In 2017, I founded Devolution Review, a literary journal on modern cosmopolitanism published in Vienna. It's a sporadic project.
On the nonprofit side, I'm on the board of directors of the Friends of CEVRO Institute, a member of the corporation for the Boys & Girls Club of Cabarrus County, North Carolina, and I've been president of the Vienna International Business Club since 2018.
Language-wise, I can cover English, French, Spanish, and German, and my hometown is Saint-Hyacinthe, Québec.
